Kiehl's Ultra Light Daily UV Defense

This sunblock comes with SPF 50 PA+++. It is one of the Kiehl's customer favorite product as highlighted in their website and promoted by their beauty advisor.  I purchased it because sunblock is crucial item in my daily skincare regime. I would never leave home without applying the sunblock. My previous drugstore sunblock such as Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF45 is ok with me for the sun protection only, but after more than half I used it, I could feel my skin was drier than before I used it. I'm looking for the sunblock which is oil-free but at the same time doesn't dehydrate my skin. So, I bought the Kiehl's sunblock since it has all the things that I wish for sunblock especially it is labeled as oil-free and ultra light. Unfortunately, after several times of usage I could feel my skin is oily especially at the T-zone and it is noticeable by my friends. More oil seeds were developed when I used this sunblock. I hate this greasy feeling on my face even though  I have put face powder on it. Really uncomfortable. But I still continue using this when I'm at home or during cloudy days because for the price I paid; RM140 for 30ml sunblock, I better not toss it away. After 8 months on-off using it, it finished already. Totally will not repurchase it.

Miss WF also bought this sunblock. Similarly, she also found that this sunblock makes her face oily especially at the T-zone. Both of us agree that this product is not suitable for us who have combination skin.

This is my first purchase of dark spot corrector. I was intended to buy it to complete my Ultimate White range from Kiehl's. I already had the Kiehl's Surface Brightening Exfoliator, Kiehl's Clarifying Whitening Toner and Kiehl's Ultimate White Activated Whitening Moisturizer and also Kiehl's Ultra Light Daily UV Defense. I have serious pigmentation problem which has developed since my early 20s. While I was really satisfied with the other products in this range, this one however was totally a disappointment to me. Until I finished the whole 30ml tube, it did not lighten my pigmentation at all. I'm not sure if this product is still available or not because I bought it in around June 2011, I think. They have new product for targeted treatments which is Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution which I think is the improvised version of this product. I have stopped using this range when I have finished use all of them at the end of 2011. The Ultimate White range is good especially their texture and fast absorption, but it still cannot solve my pigmentation problem, although I could see there were no new dark spot is developed. Maybe these products suit anyone who does not have pigmentation problems yet, but wants to prevent it from happening.

Moisture White™ Shiso Concentrated Target Perfector

This is my second spot corrector after Kiehl's Dark Spot Corrector. I bought this because I was attracted to its method of application; the roller-just roll the applicator over any dark spots and also good review from skindeco. From the review it says that besides reducing the dark spots, it also helps in diminishing the oil seeds (milia). I was so tempting to buy this product because beside dark spot, I also concern my oil seeds probs which makes my skin texture uneven.I hope this product could help me.

I don't remember the price because I bought it during Body Shop 'buy 3 items-20% discount' promotion. But it for sure less than RM100. I used this after using the SKII Facial Treatment Essence. I rolled it over my freckles and oil seed. Upon application, it leaves sticky feel on my face. So, I have to pat  a little bit with my finger tips to help it absorb into my skin. This is what I dislike about this product because I have to spend more time to ensure it fully absorb before my next skin care application. Until 4 weeks of usage, I still didn't notice any differences in my pigmentation, but my oil seeds are softened that I easily could 'picit' to get rid of them. I will continue using this product until it finish because at least it helps in one of my concerns but will not repurchase it because I don't want to spend much time on my skin care routine by applying many products ;-)

SKII Facial Treatment Essence

I'm now using my 2nd bottle of  215ml SKII Facial Treatment Essence (SFTE). My first purchase was in August 2011. I bought the SKII Pitera Essence set (RM199) which includes the FTE (75ml), 1 pc of Facial Treatment Mask and Facial Treatment Clear Lotion (40ml). The 75ml SFTE just lasts for a month. But, in that just one month I discovered that the SFTE really does wonder to my skin. Immediately after I applied it on my face, my face feels smooth and supple. That's when I decided to purchase my 1st bottle of 215ml SFTE. I also bought the 215ml Facial Treatment Clear Lotion. In my third month using the SFTE, my friends commented on how luminous my skin is. I also can feel the bouncing effect of my skin whenever I press my fingers on my cheeks. I think SFTE has recovered the elasticity of my skin. This bottle lasts ngamngam  6 months. 

I used this product twice daily after using the Facial Treatment Clear Lotion. At first, I poured about 5-6 drops on the cotton pad and dabbed it on my face as advised by the SA. I found it is a wasteful, because I didn't notice any changes on my skin by using this method. So I just pour 5-6 drops on my palm and immediately pat it on my face. Upon applying this method, I noticed my skin changes to a better condition. You have to be extra careful to avoid any loss if the liquid slip in between your finger. My advice: practice makes perfect. Make sure the other palm is ready underneath the palm-contains-SFTE when you first pat it on your face.

Overall, I think the SFTE really helps to improve your skin condition in terms of elasticity ,glow and luminousity. The only cons, it doesn't help to reduce my pigmentation even though it is one of its mentioned benefit, spot control. Price wise, I admit it is expensive but it's ok with me because it delivers what is promised and I'm really a satisfied user of the SKII Facial Treatment Essence. My tips: Buy the SFTE when any departmental store especially Jusco or Parkson got this 'every RM100 spend-got RM10 /RM20 voucher' promotion. So, you won't feel much guilty for spending such big amount of money for this product. At least you can use the voucher to buy groceries or other stuffs. Besides you'll also get sample for other items or if not, you can just ask the SA, pujuk2 la sikit dah beli mahal kan. During my last purchase (I bought 2 bottles = RM978, one for my aunty), I got 2pcs of whitening source derm-revival mask and actual size of Facial Treatment Advanced Loose Powder UV (cost: RM198) + Parkson's voucher. Latest price of the SFTE (215ml) is RM489 at Parkson.

End of last year, with the disappointment from the unsuccessful results from SK2 Skin Power Kit... i decided to give my skin a calm treatment from the dermatological kind of products. I would like anything that look like skincare from medical side. I then decided to go with Clinique. The name Clinique itself sounded like clinic, where people seek for medical treatment. It sounded that my skin need medical treatment..

I went to the Jusco midvalley counter with miss NH, as she once used products from Clinique.My skin was diagnosed to be lacking hydration and radiance. As known, the sa pointed that my skin has dry cheeks and oily nose and t-zone. She also pointed that i had oil seed (milia) around eye area and some on cheek bones.
Huh that was quite hard, oil seed meaning too much oil on face, but then some area of my face is dry then needed moisturizing. So, she gave me the 3 step skincare for combination skin, but a moisturizer for combination oily skin. The toner was on the moisturize side.

Step 1- Clinique Liquid Facial Soap
A very mild liquid cleanser. It has no smell. As its name, it does really feel like soap. But it cleanse really well.

Step 2- Clinique Clarifying Moisture Lotion
I do really really really like this toner. It clarifies and hydrate ur skin in once. I would repurchase this if my other toners are not working. really recommend this if u want to clarify and keep ur face hydrate all in once after cleansing. So refreshing!

Step 3 - Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturing Lotion
This moisturizer works well, did not felt heavy upon application. It absorbed really fast, and left feeling mate.

Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Extra Radiance Renewer
This was the serum i had used together with the 3-step. As said from the clinique website, "at the surface, silky serum replaces dull, worn-out cells with livelier, more luminous ones. Skin breathes, accepts moisture better and grows stronger. Optimizes up-and-coming cells to help the best and brightest emerge, so skin seems to glow from within". After i finished one bottle, i didn't see any improvements on my skin radiance. The product was ok, ok la... but did not feel that 'puas feeling'..

Clinique Super City Block - SPF 40
I also purchased this sunblock from clinique. I didn't like this sunblock as it gave me oily skin after a few hours after application. For me a small amount is enough to cover the face. A friend siad that i look dull if i wear this. huh... didn't like the comments so i stopped using this...

As Sephora had landed in Malaysia, me and miss NH went for visit (niat nk melawat jer but x tahan godaan as soon as melangkah masuk) to Sephora near Pavilion KL. Well, actually i was on my search for a good eye treatment to combat my dark saggy eye problem. After looking around, we were entertained by their SA who was very helpful. She introduce me with this eye treatment from CD. She applied this product around my eye bag area and in a few second i could see tremendous result. Not just the eye bag look much better, the dark circle also had reduced. She explained that sephora customer swear on this and kept returning back to repurchase. Without a lot of thinking i bought this straightaway, it was quite pricey RM200++, but since the SA and miss NH keep on influencing... i rest my case, paid and leave.

This product is really great. I still use this eye treatment till now. The product last for quite long, i have not even finished my first tube yet. one push of the pump is enough to apply for both eye area. After pumping the tube, a tiny amount of cream will spill out, put on ur finger and rub with ur other finger then apply to ur eye area. Simple and naaah u will see tremendous result right away!

SK2 Skin Power Kit

After bosan sudah with Kiehl's, i was tempted to use SK2 again. Not that Kiehl's was not good, but after a while i feel that Kiehl's  will make your skin look perfect when you use it, but if you stop using it, like u forgot or something then ur skin will look so not nice, like dull.. so me and miss NH (she also think the same way as i am) think that Kiehl's only have a temporary wow effect on our skin...

We went to Midvalley, Isetan SK2 counter and had my skin diagnosed by the sa (forgot her name, it was last year). They analyze my skin for the 5 dimension of crystal clear skin. Of course i did not score all fives dimensions, I was lacking in radiance and lines. After testing and trying, i bought the skin power kit to enhance my skin power, well actually for me so that i will look more radiant. This is my journey to crystal clear skin:

The skin power kit consist of SK2 pitera essence, SK2 skin signature 3D refining mask, SK2 skin signature cream and a spatula for the cream.

I was really exited to try out this power kit set.... however i was sooooooo disappointed that my skin could not accept the essence anymore as it can 2 or 3 years ago when i first used this essence. i wounder why oh why.... i really wanted to use this and see good results. Upon using this essence, i experienced itchiness and small tiny bumps appeared.

With the SK2 skin signature cream (the moisturizer) it was too heavy for me, it was like forever to let it sink into my skin. And i did keep on sweating after wearing this.

For the mask, i did not use this yet until now.. i'm saving for a special event that might pop up someday and planning to use it before the event. Hope the mask would give good result. Will update later when i sue it.

So, i guess SK2 ias not suitable for me any longer. Despite the nonsuccessive result, i still continue to use and finish the small bottle of essence and skin signature cream (mahal loooo kena habiskan...) as in the same time seek for another skincare to try on.

Before i jump to another skin care product, i bought this SK2 facial treatment gentle cleanser. i loved this cleanser so much. It has a rich creamy consistency and the smell is so refreshing... rase petals... ahhh i can still imagine the smell right now. Using it make me feel like i was pampered like a princess...
It is so expensive for a cleanser RM199.. but since would not repurchase the SK2 essence or moisturize anymore, so this is a good bye also... but i do LOVE IT! maybe one day, one fine day i'll be back for uuu..
